B.I.G. and Pac

Lion's Den

Here's the logo for Lion's Den at Edwin's fight on Dec. 15th. on HDNet. He started off in charge but got caught in a kimura. He was game as hell though. He has to have some damage to his arm. Much respect.

The shirts didn't get executed the way we intended because of a time crunch. But the logo is looking good...

Here's Edwin in the corner with Ken Shamrock, Scott Peters and Bill McFarland behind him.

Edwin "Bam Bam" DeWees T's

These are for his upcoming fight on December 15th vs. Frank Trigg on HDNet. He's taping the interview this weekend in LA and will be wearing the shirt. The corner guys will be wearing them during the fight as well.
Kick some ass Edwin!

Lion's Den 2

Ken Shamrock was in town last night. So some of the Lion's Den big wigs got together to look over the new logos...

Jonas Ash (partner in the Scottsdale Lion's Den), Bill McFarland (CEO), Edwin "Bam Bam" Dewees, Scott Peters (AZ Cardinals, Lion's Den partner), me, Luke, Ken Shamrock "The World's Most Dangerous Man", and I didn't get the last guys name (my bad!).

Scott Peters and Jonas Ash checking out the first round of logos in the studio.

LJ Shelton, Dolphins

LJ had an off week and had his paintings delivered. The color jumped off the walls in his house and he's thinking of ideas for some other pieces. Now he's back in Miami banging heads again.

Chiefs vs Chargers

Got to see the Chiefs vs Chargers last Sunday. Thanks to Kyle Turley for the tickets. And thanks to Shane Olivea for a great dinner after the game.
Great win for sure. Pretty hard to walk out of that place after a loss. So this was much better...

This is me and Brian Waters getting obducted by aliens. Not sure what happened to this pic. He is the anchor on the O line and has a nasty streak. Much respect for him.

Tank Tyler with my cousin Ladd to the left and my brother Luke to the right. He is a mountain and bringing it as a rookie.

Greg Wesley has been one of my favorite players for a long time. He hits like a truck. From Arkansas Pine Bluff and brings a chip on his shoulder to every game.

This was commissioned by a client who wishes to remain anonymous here in the Phoenix area...

Newest flyer for Pimpadelic. Ran with the old school KISS vibe...

Thursday, August 23, 2007

I have been working on these paintings for LJ Shelton of the Miami Dolphins. Just need to tighten them up a little more. Ronnie Brown (Miami Dolphins) has three up next.

Larry Johnson, Kansas City Chiefs

Here's LJ's version of Parrell's little mascot dude and a version with him and his girl (Julissa from BET)...

This is the design for his back piece tattoo. His idea was to do a harder version of the Warriors patch from the movie...

Wednesday, August 8, 2007

Larry Johnson stopped by to check in on a tattoo design I'm doing for him. Talked about some other projects in the future, too. I will post a picture of his tattoo design when it's tightened up.

Carl Peterson needs to pay this man.

Mike Karney's house on ESPN

Mike is one hard working S.O.B. and he deserves all the good things that are coming his way. If you click on the title above, you will be linked to ESPN where you can launch the video player. His house is given the "CRIBS" treatment. They show three of my paintings. Don't blink on a few of them!

Brady Quinn, Cleveland Browns

Brady has been working his ass off with my brother, Luke. He came by to check out some art and will probably go with some religious themed pieces. The plan is to put my spin on some iconic imagery. It should turn out very original as compared to all the other religious stuff on the market. I'll post pics when we get the concepts solid...

Richesson, Inc. Apparel

Feel free to leave your comments. These are in the early stages. Hope to have the samples back soon...

LJ Shelton, Miami Dolphins (this one shows him with Arizona)

LJ Shelton has commissioned 4 pieces and I have finally finished the first one. He says this one is going in his bathroom! The other three are big and are being designed to hang together as a group. Should look kick ass when they're done.

After I get done with LJ's pieces, Ronnie Brown, also of the Dolphins, is having three paintings commissioned. So I'm looking forward to those as well.

The drummer for Pimpadelic, Belly Ray Vyrus, asked me to do a flyer for an upcoming show. The picture is of the lead singer, Easy Jesus Coe. He is one crazy MF so the picture does him justice. Seeing this band live is something you won't forget.

PDM shirt design

This is old but I thought I'd use it to show how I start with a few ideas and narrow it down to the finished product. This was a shirt design used by Perpetual Death Mode. Kyle Turley was the bass player and they did some Slayer covers that were unreal...

Invitro T's

Just finished a T Shirt design for the band Invitro. The design will be used for the Family Values Tour. They are signed to Gridiron Records that is owned by Kyle Turley. They are going to be huge. Their first album, When I Was A Planet, is due out soon. Oh yeah, they open every show in aluminum foil masks and lab coats. Off the wall. Stay tuned...

Bad Ass Central

Went to a party at Jay Glazer's house in Scottsdale. Unbelievable view from the balcony. There were so many fighters and pro athletes there that you got the impression you shouldn't do a lot of mouthing off or start any shit. So I proceeded to get really drunk and then got choked out at about 4:00.

Above pictured:

Me, Jay and my brother, Luke. Jay is training for a fight in two weeks. He's going to be announcing with Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long this season, too. Dude is TCB.

Alex "The Assassin" Karalexis. He said his biggest assets are a bad attitude and a big right hand. He is currently in the IFL but most people know him from the Ultimate Fighter. One tough MF.

Simeon Rice from the Tampa Bay Bucs. Still kicking ass in the League. Big time player for years. Real laid back dude, too.

Jared Allen from the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS. I hope Carl Peterson pays him the money he's earned so we can keep him. He quit drinking and is at 265 lbs. He's training MMA with all these fighters here in AZ. Looks like he is on a mission this year. Really good to hang out with him.

Jermaine O'neal, Indiana Pacers

Jermaine's wife, Mesha, commissioned this 48"x48" portrait of Jermaine and the kids for Father's Day. The colors give it a Caribbean or Jamaican feel. Irie.
